Numeracy interventions and educational psychologists
If any school pupils are struggling with numeracy, an educational psychologist can advise on numeracy interventions. If the concern is regarding a specific child / young person, the school can purchase time with an educational psychologist in order to work with them directly.
The school may also wish for an educational psychologist to provide training to school staff on numeracy interventions, and how to support pupils struggling with numeracy.
